….Does It Matter? "If you felt The Walking Dead had been spinning its gore-covered wheels for the last several seasons, well, last night's episode introduced something that is truly new. It's arguably the most important moment since Negan and the Saviors swaggered onto the scene, if not before. But since this is The Walking Dead, I have to wonder: Will it actually change anything?…." Main page link I don't see a good near future for Simon… (smile)

Saw it myself last night. Have to agree with a lot of what is said in the article – Specifically, that the "Key To A Future" is irrelevant in this milieu given the Saviors and whoever leads them. And yes, everyone comes of as utter swines to each other at this point, with shifting moralities; But one thing is damn certain – Simon, by taking command and effective and forceful command at that in Negan's absence, engineered his doom when Negan returns to the Saviors. Negan can tolerate a strong second, but not *that* strong and ambitious a second. Rick though . . . Yes, he's become determined and less concerned about others outside his immediate group. Yes, he has let that dull his perception of anything but immediate goals hence the blinkered approach to taking out Negan this episode. However . . . I can't but feel that "A Key . . ." might just unlock his better nature, though he will still have to keep it in check while he sorts the problem of the Saviors out. It might even be the goal he needs to retain his inner good throughout all the gory slog he needs to wade through to reach a point where a good future can be achieved. |

Heaven forbid if the people in that world are too dumb to find a library with books on how to build stuff… >rolls eyes< |

Lol. When was the last time any of them ever saw a book, a real book, and not an e-book? Or an actual catalogue card file with drawers in alphabetical order? Would they recognize it and know what to do even if they saw one? Dan |

"If you felt The Walking Dead had been spinning its gore-covered wheels for the last several seasons, well,.. I just have to say, first off, 'No' I don't even watch the show, have seen bit'n pieces (ok sorry accidental pun there) of the show however.. That very first line as I quoted, regardless of what or any series, when you pose the statement 'spinning its wheels" i.e. "same ol routine/story" and "for the last several seasons".. a few is bad, but Several?? Dear lord. I would say regardless of the show, their fans should rise up (dam another pun) and ask, beg, demand.. "Please Get New Writers!" Just a neutral opinion here, because it really sounds as if they are just 'hanging on' to.. "lets just keep doing the same thing over and over, its kept'm watching this long". |

This show went off the rails long ago…I could barely make it through Season 3. And agree completely with Zephyr1! |

Hell, I couldn't make it past season one (just made it to the end and stopped watching there). Drive a stake through its heart and call it done, already. Rob |
