"Star Wars Legion Basing Ideas" Topic

I've been trying to think about how to base minis for Legion.

Now, the infantry would be easy enough to do with normal methods, but the vehicles are where the problems start. The facing lines in the bases seem to be something that won't fit most types if I want the bases to look natural as the straight lines and angles just seem to stand out for me with all of the ones I've seen.

My first thought was to essentially copy them with cut, clear acrylic and going with that, but I'm not sure if that will end up creating problems later on.

The other current idea is deck plating, which is doable for a faction, but I'm not sure if I want both sides to be the same there.

I've heard other people commenting on it while looking at the minis, so, anyone have other ideas that aren't just mark the lines for it?

What about concrete, pavement or tarmac look? The lines might blend better with that style?

Thanks, might get those if they match the height as well as basic size. Really don't want to end up risking them being unuseable since the store I play at is planning the official play and I want some of those rewards…
