I try a similar thing in 15mm and I'm really impressed about what you're doing. A lot of diligence and a lot of love visible in your project. |

FANTASTIC. What this hobby should be all about. Very inspiring, and thanks for sharing. |

Thanks very much guys, really glad you enjoyed it! @FincasKhalmoril I've checked your thread out and I love it, some great stuff there. I've often thought GW missed a trick not doing 30k in 15mm, as they often stress the epic battles of that era and 28mm on a 6x4 table just doesn't let you do it justice. I'll be keeping my eye on your stuff and may just pilfer an idea or two! ;-) |

Love 20mm as an SF scale. If this gets out you could bring GW to heal – I recognize the old mini-tanks (convert them myself). But you should set out how you do conversions and what models you use. I've got a collection of the old Blade models by SHQ. TomT |

Looks good, though it seems that the orks 'acquired' some M113s! Are you using the standard-size blast markers, just with smaller minis? Any other changes to the rules? I think I know why GW didn't do 30k in 15mm, though it does make massive battles more believable. They'd have to create all-new models and terrain, and those models would believably cannibalize sales of 28mm minis. |

@Thomas Thomas I think the Officio Assassinorum would have me offed long before that happens! Imperial Guard areAirfix Modern US, Orks are Caesar Fantasy Orcs with weapons by Sgts Mess – greenstuff & cardboard for conversions :-) @Lion It's actually a Long Tom SPG that lost it's gun and gained some "hairodynamik" fins ;-) Standard blast markers, couldn't be bothered resizing – no other changes to the rules (aside from a few mistakes with the Dark Millenium rules). Yes, you're probably right, cost of new molds etc eating into profits from 28mm. Still, all the more reason for them to reintroduce Epic! |

I've built a 6mm magnetized "travel" 40K set, using old Epic minis. The whole thing, including terrain and dice, fits in a handful of Altoids boxes, and the "table" is a magnetic markerboard; a sheet of colored paper is stuck on with magnets. |

I've seen that, it's cool as hell! You should patent the idea and sell to GW |

No, don't sell it to GW… BAD idea! keep it yourself and sell as you see fit! GW will turn this kind of hobby into even more of a soul/wallet sucker than Warhammer! lol |

That's too cool an idea not to do! :-) Need to find a couple of Matchbox Countachs to run as warbuggies… |

Really cool! How did you make these? |

I meant the figures. Nice to see the conversions. |
