20 or 25 years ago I went to a wargames convention somewhere in the Thames valley (in Reading maybe?) and in the bring-and-buy sale bought some plastic 1/72 figures painted as British and Hessian line and light infantry, including some some rifle-armed jaegers in green coats and a few Red Indians (converted from Esci Zulus). They're rather well painted (though not quite up to the standard of Mateus in Brazil) – I'd post a couple of pictures, except that I don't think it's possible to do that on TMP without first puttting them on a website somewhere. Anyway, I never wargamed with them, and they've sat unused in a display cabinet for nearly a quarter of a century, just occasionally taken out by my children to play with. If I decide to start using them, what rulesets would they be suitable for without re-basing? Their bases are all 4cm wide and 3cm deep, with 6 line infantry or 2 light infantry per base. |

In most cases I've found out that it doesn't really matter what size bases the rules use -you just keep on using the ones you have. Usually no probs at least if everyone is using figures based in similar way. |

agree with Lonkka1Actual. As long as both your armies are based identically, any rule set will do. So, assume AWI then? There are a few, British Grenadier, Black Powder for example. |

Yes, sorry, I forgot to specify – I meant AWI rulesets. |

British Grenadier usually has line infantry based in 6s (occasionally 4s) and 1st Line light infantry in pairs (2nd Line light infantry go in threes). |

Maurice works well for AWI, and would work with your basing. |
