Yes, Armand.

As a young boy I was encouraged to spend time in the local library. I found this book when I was about eight. On the cover, IIRC, was a red coated cavalryman wearing a tricorn. I enjoyed the book immensely. Such was the humble beginning of my love of eighteenth century warfare.

Later on I found the section of Wargames Books. The front cover of "The War Game" by Charles Grant featured more tricorn hatted soldiers. I asked my father for a copy as my Christmas Present. I didn't get it. He took advice and bought me "Battles with Model Soldiers" by Donald Featherstone as it was more suitable for my age. He was right. Fifty years have passed and 18c wargames are still my favourite.

Have fun,
