So I have been watching these dungeon crafting channels to seek ideas.

The question I keep having is how would I change their described process for 15mm miniatures.

For example if you watch the Black Magic Craft basic tiles, would 1/2 inch be too tall for 15mm? Does it matter? Would it work with 1/4 thick cuts. What other material would work.

Ideas welcomed

Thanks

Wow, I like the idea of the 2.5D Next walls!

There's also cork, of course. For 15mm the flooring could be 12' x 12' cork tiles, painted to your liking, but the walls and stairs could be made out of cork too.

Here are more ideas with cork:

You are always a great source of ideas CC.

Here is another Cork idea

Now what is the best source of Cork tiles? Is Amazon a good source, are there better? What thickness should the cork tile be to work well with walls, etc.?

Now my question still stands would the basic designs shown on the crafting videos work with 15mm? I think for floors the foam would work. I just don't know if it would work for stairs and stacking.

What is a good source of cardboard for projects?

Thanks

I'd use 20mm = 5'. For practical purposes you can put 2 humans on 15mm bases (or pennies) in a ten foot wide corrider.

If you base demi-humans on something smaller they could go 3 wide. Big figures on say a 40mm base would fit in the corridor. This way you can also use stuff that is based for ancients on 40mm frontages.

If you don't want to mess with it just use 25-28mm scale stuff for 15mm figures. There will be more room for your hands and fingers and it will all be less fiddly.

DMScotty has it right. 2.5D is way to go. Tall walls just get in the way.

The 1/2" walls look like they would work fine for 15mm. More so, I think they would look better with 15mm than with 28mm. The shorter figure would make the wall seem taller without being a pain to game with.
