I have a slightly more modern copy in my toilet bookshelf.
It does nothing for constipation, trust me.

Basically it says …if you want to cross a river seize the opposite bank first…….if you enter a ravine, be sure your exit is clear…always try to know hat you enemy is doing..

It is seriously that bad………

I am not saying he was not a military genius

I am just saying he was no writer of a blockbuster novel……..

and he was only a little chap at 5 foot tall (I am joking honestly)

In French terms he was taller than our Peter Crouch (US readers, this is a very tall lad who plays, what you call, soccer)

If you actually want to find Napoleon's personality and character, read the Correspondence. Much more entertaining and chock full of excellent information.

And Napoleon's Maxim's were put together after he died, so not by Napoleon.
