Hey everyone, years in the 80's I bought a sci-fi book that had a alien type bird with some sort of laser rifle on its shoulder and a human armed with a Uzi. The premise of the book if I recall was the aliens destroy the worlds economy by introducing some sort of replicating machine. Anyway there is a resistance movement and fighting; does this sound familiar and if some do you recall the name of the book or have a picture of the cover art. |

link Question. SF story where aliens give a human a replicator device with the intent to destroy earths economy. Doesn't work because copyright. Anybody know this ? Was a short story, maybe in Analog or Amazing. The aliens thought this would disrupt and collapse the earth economy but it didn't because copyright. |
