Does anyone know how the old metal greatswords match up size wise with the current plastic set?

I'd like to add some metal minis to my unit to change up the poses a bit.

Thanks as always.

Those once known as Empire Greatswords? I don't think I have any of the plastic ones for comparison.

By "old metal greatswords", do you mean the ones released in 1992 or the ones from 2000? There is a size difference between those two.

As for the plastic ones, I do not unfortunately own any for comparison.

I think that you answered my question Grief. The 1992 sound like they would be smaller than the current plastic set.

Actually, those 1992 greatswords are actually quite big and bulky – and very impressive looking. Pity that there were only three poses released back then.

The metal greatswords from 2000 are actually of slighter build than the ones from 1992.

1992 greatswords are the largest, 2000s metals are smaller than 1992 metals and also a bit smaller than plastic greatswords.

A nice source would be Old Glory 25s French Wars Of Religion for a nice look. Just stay away from the Landsknecht as they wore pluderhosen…
