So I've started a new Fantasy army. It's one of those generic pseudo-medieval human fantasy armies which I've entitled the army of the Grand Duchy of the Black Wolf. Here is the first contingent from the Barony of Nordburg
and some characters
Lots more on my blog for those interested here link Cheers Jon |

Thanks for the nice comments guys Razuse@ hopefully they will be going up against the Winter Wytch and her army of Frost giants, Ice trolls and Northern Barbarians. I've got to get this army finished first though :) |

Love them! Very nice wintery effect and snow that looks great. I really like the fact that your infantry is standing IN the snow, not ON the snow. Often the tufts that stick outside snow tend to be withered ones and ochre colored though :)

Lonkka@ thanks the tufts would be like that in a normal winter but not one that arrived with the coming of a powerful weather changing witch in the middle of summer :) in fairness the yellow tufts just don't stand out as much as the dark green ones which is why I used them. Xinto@ haven't played them much but they play a lot like mid editions of Warhammer. When you first read them they seem quite different (multiple bases, very different stat line, turns are igo/ugo but with initiative so you never know who goes first each turn) but you realise that a lot of the rules are simulating Warhammer (the way shooting and combat works and break tests). What I like though is they are very generic with no built in background and with rules to allow you to build any sort of unit you like. |
