If so, that's a real accomplishment!

Well … how in the world did you pull it off? What did you do exactly? Did you crush his forces effortlessly and in record time?

Only a space vampire! I remember that episode.

"… how in the world did you pull it off?"

I told my wife that she wasn't near as good in the sheets* as her best and closest friend.

* = her best friend washes, irons and folds them neatly. My wife hates ironing!

Some things you can only say or do once, and I would consider that one of them. :)

ZOC,

Your wife must have one helluva sense of humor! Oh wait, she is married to you. grin

Living dangerously Zone ! evil grin LOL !!!!

However, I do remember getting so angry I started to shake a bit and had to walk away. Getting "Blood simple" will only cost you, at the very least in money and/or "time". My LEO friends reminded me frequently, not to "use extreme violence" … in any confrontations.

But I told them that would take all the fun out of it ! frown

Nothing to rival ZOC! lol!

Back in high school, some friends and I were playing the "Conquest of the Empire" board game and two of the other three players left their Caesar in (what they thought) was a safe space…

… within range of a pair of my galleys…

… that were loaded with cavalry…

I was actually chased from the house by one of the guys!

(And there after, was forbidden to build any ships!)

I've never made anyone angry, or become angry, at a wargame. The closest, I suppose, is the time I pulled a Scholar's Mate on a work colleague who wanted to play chess at lunch. He and another colleague just stared at the board dumbfounded for a full minute after I announced "checkmate".

My first wife became so angry at times that she would actually stomp her foot. Once I was afraid that she would stomp right through the floor, like Rumplestiltskin. I don't remember doing anything to cause the anger, however. It seemed more like weather to me at the time, something that just happened.

Where is that fantastic gif in the original post from? It looks, from the hair and the orange-and-white color scheme, like early 1970s science fiction, but I don't remember it, but I want to rent it.

Bashytubits10 Mar 2018 12:45 p.m. PST

All I have to do is show up, do my job, smile and some of my co workers do that. No biggie. Caciques gif is from Buck Rogers in the 25th century.

CC, thanks for a shot of the ineffable Erin Gray!

Zeelow10 Mar 2018 1:23 p.m. PST

In 1976 I painted and trimmed the wrong house. The home owner was enraged…until I told him the job was for free.

Black Cavalier10 Mar 2018 2:01 p.m. PST

I thought I recognized Erin Gray. What movie is that from?

Cacique Caribe10 Mar 2018 2:16 p.m. PST

MrWigglesworth was right, a few posts ago. It was the Space Vampire episode of Buck Rogers:

PS. Hey Zeelow, was the paint color at least close enough to what the guy would have wanted? :)

mrwigglesworth10 Mar 2018 2:16 p.m. PST

Buck Rodgers tv series Season 2 the space vampire.

I just realized that Wilma/Erin's expression looks a bit like this Xena one.

"ZOC,
Your wife must have one helluva sense of humor!"

20 years ago when my wife got pregnant with our first child, we first suspected she was pregnant just before leaving PA for a trip to GA for a family wedding. My brother and I drove down a day ahead of time. My wife had a meeting to keep and flew down a day later.

We said nothing at the wedding so as not to distract from the bride and groom's day. The day after we got back she had a doctor visit that confirmed her condition.

A week later was Easter and our two families went out to dinner together to celebrate. At dinner I stood up and announced that we were having a child. And… my brother, my wife and myself, just having traveled back from GA together, we told everyone that my brother was the baby's father. It is a family joke that still pops up at the oddest times.

Cacique Caribe10 Mar 2018 4:41 p.m. PST

Lol. Dude, that's some weird family you've got! Can I apply for membership? :)

Bashytubits10 Mar 2018 9:30 p.m. PST

I think that is called "adoption" Dan. evil grin

Zephyr110 Mar 2018 10:14 p.m. PST

I think she's angry in that gif because she's trying to scratch her back on that wall, and it's… just… not… working…

Oberlindes Sol LIC Supporting Member of TMP11 Mar 2018 12:58 a.m. PST

Thanks for the tip on Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. I have only seen a few episodes. It originally aired when I was a college student, and I didn't watch a lot of tv back then.

@CaciqueCaribe: Love the picture of Xena. Thanks.

David Manley11 Mar 2018 2:42 a.m. PST

You guys have a funny idea of what "angry" looks like. I've just watched this episode, she's terrified (unsurprising because she's being attacked by a vampire)

Cacique Caribe11 Mar 2018 12:24 p.m. PST

They might well have asked her to look terrified, but that's exactly the face I've seen on a couple of people that I've made very angry. :)

I wouldn't want either of those gals mad at me ! huh?

Chuckaroobob12 Mar 2018 8:12 a.m. PST

I was that angry once, after working 88 hours in four days the supervisor told me I'd have to stay later than scheduled because he wanted to get off early and drink beer.

Yes, I quit that night. Still gave two weeks notice, of course.
