I think I may have put it all in the tiel. Nice little game using black powder, lots of pictures and write up on the blog. Very dumbed down version of the battle of Kalisz gapagnw.blogspot.co.uk

Very enjoyable read. I found this interesting: [q]My only hesitation in all this is whether Black Powder gives a period feel. Using the rules for Carlist Wars and sometimes AWI leaves us in danger of games becoming too "samey" despite the heavy amendments and enjoyable historical results. On balance its a fun game, we enjoyed and it felt right but period specific rules has to be our end goal.[/q] How much is "period flavour" up to imagination? |

Its a fair point, we do want to make sure though that the game feels different to say a Carlist gam. Jury is still out Codsticker and BLB 3 landed on my doorstep this morning so…. |

I inherited a copy of BLB2 from Jeff; I like how it reads, unfortunately I will probably never get to play it… |
