If only the search engine was still working…… Some great input here previously, which influenced me ++ But it seems that search facility is no longer a priority…. Folk tell us Google will find such instead….. OK guys and gals…..show us! |

Lucien Rousselot, official artist to the French army, and an outstanding researcher, showed it as darkish pinkish. In other words, not a light pink. While he was an outstanding researcher, he did make mistakes. He painted and wrote for many years and corrected several mistakes when he came across appropriate evidence. I have never known him to change his Polish crimson. Tom |

I have never used my Humbrol Polish Crimson for any unit that actually wore it, but trusted the Rousselot plates for Polish Guard Chevau leger and later Lancers. Here is a site showing his prints: link GdeP |
