… Different Fate for Captain Phasma.

"For those of you out there who count Gwendoline Christie‘s Captain Phasma among the biggest missed opportunities in the new Star Wars movies, you're about to either be very happy or very, very upset. (Try to maintain a balance between the warring sides of the Force.) In a new deleted scene from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, a very different fate for the shiny-suited Imperial officer has been revealed.

On one hand, I can see why this scene was cut: It's a little clunky, poorly paced, and doesn't really jibe with the flow of this particular sequence, though all of that could have been fixed in the edit if Rian Johnson chose to do so. On the other hand, it would have been nice to see a little more flair in Phasma's final moments. On the other hand … oh wait, I'm all out of hands…."

Meh, it was a lame ending to an overhyped character that delivered nothing to the story line. In The Force Awakens the silver chromed lady trooper surrenders and rats out her fellows in an eye blink, and in The Last Jedi the janitor-trooper somehow develops amazing hand to hand combat skills he's never shown before (nor did we even hear hear that he's been training hard) and gives her the Boba Fett treatment…booting her into a flaming abyss of Sarlaac teeth-like jagged metal girders.

Topics using the words Rian Johnson and/or the Last Jedi are trolling.

An incompetent director handles an incompetently created character in an incompetent manner. Label me shocked. /snark.

Isn't it amazing what Disney can do with someone else's property. It's like watching a demolition derby or a simular trainwreck…

Yep – don't even get me started…

I don't think "The Empire Strikes Back" has anything to be concerned 'bout. It's not getting dethroned anytime soon…
