Does DJ Jazzy Jeff count?

"Does DJ Jazzy Jeff count?"

Yes, he said "A One, anda Two anda Three anda Four."

Or was that Lawrence Welk who said that?!?

Hard bop is first, but also bossa nova, bebop, and if by Jazz funk you mean Jimmy Smith, and the soul jazz, add it too. Also Afro-Cuban.

I am not sure where the Ahmad Jamal trio with Israel Crosby and Vernell Fournier would fit, but include that too.

Yes. I like jazz. As a New Orleanian it is my civic duty to dance every Mardi Gras to jazz bands in the streets.

Fourplay, Donald Fagan, Steely Dan, Dave Koz, Paul Hardcastle, Boney James, Ray Obiedo, Peter White, Jazzmasters, Chris Rea, Sade among just a few ….would you call them "Easy Listening"? I call it Jazz as in most songs, everyone seems to get a chance to be "out front" while everyone else supports and encourages him/her.

Growing up as a rock drummer in the 60's and 70's, my taste in music has surely changed, but remains focused on the musicianship.
