All, I am getting back into Colonials after a bit of an absence. Planning to introduce my son in law to TSATF using the classic scenario from the rulebook. Here are a couple photos of the table, minus figures - link Nick |

Played this a number of times since 1980, and won as the British only once … and that was last year. ( My tactics must have improved). I think this is the right-sized scenario for TSATF. Battalion size is just too big for the rules. Is your son-in-law going up against Orcs? |

Haha no, just haven't cleaned up the Flicr page. I agree, this is the size game the rules were really written for. |

Nice looking set-up. I really like the ground cloth. |

Scrub brush… rocky terrain… nullah/gulley… hills… dusty road… lonely deserted outpost -- what more could a colonial gamer ask for?!?! Just a unit of Brits or Indians or Gurkhas, or 2 units of Pathan Tribesmen! Your son-in-law is a lucky guy, Nick! Looking forward to the AAR… |

Rags, THat ground cloth is a real case of making lemonade out of lemons. I orderd it on line expecting it to be a shade of tan. When it arrvied, it was very yellow. I managed to salvage it by spraying over with the same color spray I use on the hills. |

Marvelous! Tables like that were the magic that attracted me to TSATF in the first place. So much potential fun there. Thank you for sharing! |

Nick, How's Ken? He's played this at our place many years ago. |
