This is what I call a "sensible"-sized battalia for "For King and Parliament". I think most people who game it in 28mm will use units around 18cm wide with c.24 minis like this, or it's 10/15mm equivalent. There's more on t'blog:-

…and here's a commanded shot battlia, Major Undertaking's, which uses some of the same minis and is designed for a larger 30cm grid.

Love it – and some of the best basing I have ever seen

Very inspiring, Simon! I've never seen so much gamer's grass in one post before…you must own the company.

Thanks chaps.

With this unit I flocked the base, then flocked the flock (to give it more depth), then added 60 or so tufts before drybrushing. This is the first army I've based where the grout is completely covered.

I particularly like this one also, Simon. Have always appreciated the less uniformed, more rough and tumble look! And with a preacher present what could possibly go wrong? 😄

Awesome unit! Great animation and color!
