Is anyone here using 54mm figures to skirmish game the GNW or Scania War? Or early colonial America circa 1650's or 1660's?
I have approximately 200 of the Tehnolog "Peter the Great" figures plus 40 or so Cossacks and 40 Indians, only about 30 or so painted so far. There are only 5 different figures in the "Peter the Great" set but I've been able to convert the figures to come up with 10 or more poses. Turn backs on the Swedish figures, both tricorne hats and karpus head gear, grenadiers and cavalry figures. For the mounted figures I'm using the 54mm Airfix horses.
Is it possible to post pictures here? If so I'll try to post some later this week.

I don't have any, but I have played a few games with those scale of figures. It was a real nice change in scale and I was able to appreciate the painting on those figures much more.

I believe most of the figures were purchased here:

How do you post pictures here?

The "Peter the Great" set comes with 5 different poses: (1) officer (2) NCO (3) musketeer standing firing (4) musketeer standing loading and (5) musketeer attacking – sword in left hand and musket in right hand.
I've converted #3,4,5 into mounted dragoons (using 54mm Airfix horses) plus dismounts for each; #3,4,5 into grenadiers; #3,4,5 into holding muskets differently and working on converting the standing/firing musketeer into a kneeling/firing figure. I've converted #2 (NCO) into pikemen. The figured come wearing the tricorne. I made molds of a scratch built karpus and a round wide-brimmed floppy hat to add to my Scania War/early colonial America figures.
Anyway, it's a work in progress. I plan on trying out Song of Drums and Shakos (perhaps modified for these time periods) and/or THW Long Rifle set of rules.

I have been using 54mm figures and the rules from "All The King's Men" to game battles from the Russo-Turkish War of 1769-1774.

The rules are free: PDF link

"All The King's Men" also have a set of skirmish rules, but I've not yet tried them.

Many years ago I was going to use ECW figs for early colonial militia vs Indians but, after painting a number of infantry figs, the project lost its steam.
