But we all know that it is Heymes who stands out every time, not Ney.

I have no idea whether the rig shown in the Panorama is just a product of the artist's imagination, but he looks terrific and great painting here.

Love the highlights on Ney though. The creases on his back I had never noticed on my model. Must go back and redo!

Of course you do know that the real artist, Rafa, here did, as I did, as the Panorama does in the original………

But the Perrys, to be fair did not………

Is to accept what Ney conceded. By 1815 he was not as hirsute as we think. He was very, very, thin on top…….and probably worse than that. Perrys do show the potential for a very pink scalp……….naw……..naw…….not right.
