I am trying to use some Micro Machine figs to modify some 15mm figs. I want to make duplicate heads… What's the best way to duplicate heads on small scale like that? I have heard that some people have made green stuff molds and simply used green stuff to press into the molds to make the duplicate. Does that work ok? Specifically what I am doing is a 15mm Star Wars project. I am using Ground Zero Figs for my rebels, but I would like to put a few "alien" heads on them like Mon Calmari and others. Thanks for the help! |

You can try the sametechnique with sculpy clay. |

That's what I would do. Works fine for me! I use Greenstuff though… |

You will find it very difficult to remove Sculpy without destroying the part. That is, unless you have a magic way to cure the Sculpy inside the mold. I use Oyumaru or similar molding material (lots of sources of this heat and re-cast plastic now days). And a two part epoxy putty (Again many types and sources) and just make a simple press-mold. As shown in this video: YouTube link Remember you are most likely pirating the part if it is not one of your own creation. As this fellow in the video is clearly doing! |

You are only pirating if you sell them. Personal use is fair. |
