Thanks to all the backers. Our second stretch goal was reached unlocking the blockhouse. The resin structure will have a lift off roof and 2nd story. Unlike a lot of model blockhouses on the market it will feature hewn log (rather than round log) construction with dovetail joints. Chris |

Close to unlocking 3rd stretch goal but I have doubts for the rest of the stretch goals.I hope I'm wrong as I would really like to get winter figures. Mark |

Mark, good news: quite likely you are wrong. Long-time Kickstarter veteran here — gaming projects always run in an inverse bell-curve. Big spike at the beginning, long slow trough through the middle, then another spike in the closing few days. Kicktraq is your project handicapping friend. Here is the data for this project: link For a somewhat comparable recent project here's the data on the recent Blood & Plunder KS: link And the original Blood & Plunder data which shows just how consistent the patterns are: link |

Since this is Sash & Saber's first KS, it was a good call to run the campaign for 3o days to give plenty of time to get the word out. Downside is that leaves a much longer trough in the middle. Companies that already have a base of KS supporters tend to run shorter campaigns. Steve Jackson's Ogre Designer's Edition ran for 30 days, then Ogre Miniatures Set #1 ran for 24 days, followed by Ogre Miniatures Set #2 which ran for 15 days. Once you know the customers can find you, the shorter runs work quite well. A long down time in the middle can lead to more backers dropping out due to failed morale checks, shinier new projects launching, or just more time for life to intervene and cause financial re-thinking. |

Also note, the 'Trending Toward' line on Kicktraq is always wrong for gaming projects. That line is based on a linear projection of the campaign to date. It is not calculated based on the inverse bell-curve that always occurs in gaming campaigns. |
