At my old club, several of the chaps regularly played SCW using Chain of Command and enjoyed it. |

Chain of Command. Works really well for the SCW. |

Hello Rules are obviously a thing subject to personal taste. You might consider SCW by Peter Pig. The rules are called SCW (bayonet and ideology) Looking at your stated criterion , SCW does have about 100 figures per side. For example, an assault guard force i used the other day (i play a lot of SCW) had 3 platoons. Some extra bases of MMGs and riflemen added to those platoons. A coupl e of field gns and a couple of armoured trucks. On the PP website there are videos and rule summaries. SCW is specifically written to cover exactly and only the SCW. So each mechanism relates to SCW rather than a conversion of a more generic approach. For more insight see

rule information link a big range of figures etc peterpig.co.uk/SCW.html that should give you something to mull over. A couple of notes; SCW is not a skirmish game. SCW uses a grid, thus can be fought using any scale/size miniatures. good luck with your quest! martin

BattlegroundWW2 rules from Easy Eight if you can find them. Since there isn't a ton of armor during the SCW it should work well and not be too slow. |

Mein Panzer from ODGW has a supplement for the SCW with the Complete ob for all sides involved. One stand = a squad. Games of a BDE or more are fine. |

I wonder if any of those rules would work well for 1930s South America: TMP link TMP link Dan |

I would recommend Rapid Fire Rules. Hope it helps. As always, comments are appreciated. Take care Andy |

I have a set that I have been working on for 6+ years. They are 30 pages, have equipment lists, a painting guide, & organizational guidelines. But they are only intended as a home brew. If interested contact me for a copy. Each stand is a platoon so they are intended to be used for larger battles. Troops mounted for Peter Pig rules work well. JPK |
