Following up on the discussion of putting others' blood and guts on your close combatants, do you field battle-scarred veterans or only parade ready troops?
Not necessarily wounded like Corporal Stumpy there, but with scars, tattered clothes, or nicks/scratches/plasma burns on armour? I do so often on vehicles and occasionally on figures.
BTW … you do not want to see my scar. |

Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone quote Can you see if they have any scars? Overdog is put off by scars. . . Can you see if they have any missing limbs? I hate it when they have missing limbs.

Excellent work on those bullet holes. I don't think I have any scarred figures. |

I paint mine factory fresh, they don't look as good as yours but are much easier that way. |

Picked up a gang figure for a Necromunda campaign (not a GW product BTW) that turned out to have a chunk of the vulcanized mold embedded in his right pectoral; digging that out left a set of nasty- looking pits. In the next game the character received an "impressive scars" result due to wounds. Serendipity! The defect was perfect for the combat result. |

I like to convert figures by altering heads. If I'm not careful, when I twist off the original head I sometimes Scratch it with the pliers. Rather than leave the slice on the figure, I will paint it a little reddish to be a scarf. |

My painting skills are not up to doing a good job of battle ware on figures so rarely try to do but would like to. Vehicles occasionally do. x42 |
