What would you say the sweet spot for the number of figures per player or per side is? |

paul liddle – That's a tough one. Like if you could only have one in a bar fight. 79thPA Groups have from 5 to 7 figures. How many groups you want to put on the table would be up to you. The combat is quick and playing a couple of games in an hour or two is pretty easy to do. The campaign has 14 different scenarios with 21 Missions assigned to your group before it ends. |

I always enjoyed (envisioning) Napoleonic games where one French Corps was on one side, and British, Portuguese and Spanish "divisions" on the other. 12 French battalions in 28mm, 36 figures each. One battery of 6 guns, 2 howitzers represented by human figures. A composite "regiment" of light cavalry attached – 2 to 4 squadrons of 6 figures each. 3 such divisions for 3 players, plus a dragoon division of 4 "regiments" of single squadrons of 6, 4 squadrons, plus a 6-gun horse battery. The French "commander" controls or allocates the dragoons. I have played in games where I had 12 battalions of French infantry and a battery of guns. A lot to control, but a great experience. GdeP |

Yes, we've played very large battles, larger than that with Morale Napoleon. Of course we had one stand battalions and not the 36 figure units. Anyone remember Frappe and their 72 figure units? Or CLS? To put a twist in it we let the players play at their own speed. This reflected realm life where some units did more than others due to their commanders. So when one player had finished his turn he could go to the the next turn, even attacking another player who was on a different turn. Worked great. |
