I am blonde.

The date of the weekend is April 19,20, 21, and 22. Thursday to noon Sunday.

The place is

Roadway Inn and Suites
411 College St.
Myerstown Pa.
You can get the phone from the web site.

DO NOT CALL THE HOTEL AND MAKE RESERVATIONS YET. We do not have the account set up yet. That will take place this week. We have to sit down with their restaurant staff to hammer out the details of the "free breakfast." (You didn't REALLY think it was free at the Continental did you?"

When all is said and done the cost per room including the breakfast and other charges will be about $99. USD Which is what the Continental charged us, actually a little less.

Nice to hear. Glad you landed on your feet after the changes at the Continental. Good luck. I live just a few miles away and run in to Myerstown often to grab lunch or supper.

Rodeway Inn has a restaurant on site, so for those who wish to stay put in one place, you can do that.

Other options that are close by:

Tosco Pizza and Family Restaurant is on an adjacent property and is an easy walk. I have a daughter in college and we go at least once a month when she visits.

East China is a Chinese Restaurant about 1/4 mile east of Rodeway Inn.

McDonald's is also close by and just a little bit farther west along Rt. 422. Not a bad walk, same side of the highway.

Hardee's is about the same distance as McDonald's but on the opposite side of Rt. 422. Still walkable.

Country Fare Restaurant is about 1/2 mile east of the Rodeway Inn and serves breakfast, lunch and supper. They also have a bakery on site that sells retail.

Dutch-Way Farm Market is both a grocery store and a restaurant. It is about 1 mile east of Rodeway Inn. The grocery store includes a bakery and has subs & deli items plus some hot items as well. The restaurant has a daily breakfast menu and buffet. They do lunch and supper and run some specials on different evenings of the week.

Last, but most definitely not least, for those of you with a sweet tooth… Smith's Candies is directly across the street from Rodeway Inn. The retail area of the store is about the size of a typical dollar store. They have piles of homemade candies plus big & small name retail candies as well. Most things can be purchased as individual servings or up to retail size boxes. A fun if not dangerous place to drop in to visit.

Cleo-
Please note that the hotel name is spelled differently than in your post. (I live close by and still make the same mistake. I'm blonde, too.)

Not: "Roadway"

Correct Spelling: "Rodeway Inn And Suites"

The Rodeway Inn is also called the Quality Inn (it used to be Lantern Lodge. College St is Rt 501 (Lititz Pike), and it's about 15 miles straight North of Rt 30.

Oh dear, can't make that weekend. Too bad, as Tosca's Stroboli looks good!

Also isn't it Myerstown?

cleo liebl02 Mar 2018 11:35 a.m. PST

Yes, it's Myerstown. Book under "The Weekend" Lots of games, munchies, etc. Details and PEL to come.

Heck, that's just on the other side of Lebanon from me (Harrisburg).
There's a Golden Corral on Rt 72 South in Lebanon, if you're thinking of large venues for dining.
