This week I've been working on some Crimson Fists for a game I have scheduled tomorrow. I had done an Ultramarine army with Primaris marines earlier but sold it as I decided I liked these hard-luck heroes more.

These guys are going into battle tomorrow against a Genestealer cult force.

They are going to have their hands full with ambushes, sneak attacks and gribblies coming out of the dark.

They will have to fall back on their Faith in the Emperor, their training and a good old fashioned bolter if they are going to make it through.

These were built with the stand alone multi-part Primaris kit. I don't like the figures quite as much as the ones that came in the Dark Imperium boxed set. They aren't quite as dynamic. You can probably put a little more work into them to get more poses but I wanted to build the first set to spec more or less.

I did convert the sergeant a little bit.

I'll probably try to pick up another Dark Imperium set as this kit does have a lot of extra parts that I can use to convert those guys.

Overall I'm very pleased with them.

You've convinced me to make my primaris marines Crimson Fists also, after all they are the iconic chapter. Even during the way distant days of Rogue Trader.

Plus they are way better than the ultrasmurfs 😀

They just look cool. They are dark and gritty. They were almost wiped out by the orks, then by Chaos. Plus those red hands really do stand out against the dark armor.

My guys got into it with a Genestealer cult force. They killed almost 100 of them and only lost five of their own and at least three of those were to seismic activity.
