The search function froze up. What Vallejo color for the green-ishey Canadian fatigues, please? |

From what I can gather Brown Violet is the closest match. |

I would say US Dark Green 70.893 or Cam Olive Green 70.894 as the shade and Russian Uniform 70.924 as the highlight. Mix both for the middle tone. Here is a picture that I took in Sinnsheim Museum.

Thanks. I have a lot of similar pictures to try to get colors right. |

Thanks. All very helpful. The cam Olive Green seems to match best. Have some Brown Violet – believe for(US?) helmets – will use that too and compare. |

Be sparing with the green! Officially it was the same colour as British BD. Most of the wool for it came from Britain so probably was not that much different. A lot of the Canadian BD displayed as WWII is actually from the 1950's ( ie. that in the picture above). I have a few pieces of Canadian BD and British examples of the same pieces. At ten feet you can't tell the difference. |

Start by finding a new museum. There are so many details incorrect on those two mannequins I don't know where to start – …however I also vote for Russian Uniform – on a smaller scale the color will read darker |
