Gimli: "… And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for dwarf men." Aragorn: "It's the beards!" QUESTION: Just wondering … are there very many miniature figures of dwarf women with beards? Dan

Bearded Dwarven women was a TSR illustration thing. I've never seen such a figure. Points not commonly understood: 1) Beards are a symbol of authority and power among Dwarves, so a reigning Dwarven queen might wear a false beard in ceremonial duties, just like a female Egyptian Pharaoh. 2) Dwarven women travelling are usually disguised as Dwarven men. The other races are untrustworthy enough about gold. What they'd do if they thought they could steal a Dwarven female---! So Men and Elves think there are fewer female Dwarves than there in fact are. Fat lot we care. |

I bought a friend of mine these figures a few years ago to use as Dwarven women:
Here is a link where you can purchase them: link |

Kevin Those look awesome! Thanks for sharing. Are you planning on altering them at all (like lengthening the beards), or use them as is? Dan |

And so it is proven once and for all. Marijuana smoking leads to premature aging and beard growth. Hard to believe they're under 25. |

Those figures look more like dwarf men in drag. |

Surely if they can't be told apart you can use male dwarves as proxies. |
