It has been seven months in the making. Today it is complete: the entire Anglo-Allied army at Waterloo. See it in all its glory on my blog. link

He paints tartan kilts in 18mm……..I did not even know they did the paint in that scale. He paints the yellow stripes on the shoulder roll for Netherlands Horse Artillery in 18mm (I struggled in 28mm, but they were the first figures I ever painted). But the whole Allied army? No, I could not see the 71st. He could not do the diced head band. But then I spotted the 52nd King's and Regt colours……and behind them…..almost lost……….do I see……? Brightening the colours post processing was wise for photography BTW. Great results. My only complaint. For the work gone into these, the quality of painting, the sheer numbers, not enough pics. Six photos is insufficient record of months of incredible work. Go on. Show us the 71st. You know you want to……… |

Wow! That is quite a project. Lovely figures. What is the figure ratio? |

Deadhead, check back through the archives. I've been posting pictures of each finished unit as they roll off the painting desk! |

Gordon, Glenn's rules use a sliding scale. If he's fighting Waterloo, each battalion is a base. If he's fighting Quatre Bras, each battalion is four bases. |

OK…so you can do Cameron, Black Watch and Gordon Tartan in 18mm…… Am I impressed? (Oh Yes………….big time) But I want to see the 71st HLI. I will now go back again……. Your work is actually……not at all bad…….quite reasonable really…… |

:-) The 71st is not there. The 51st and 52nd are, however. I had to make some changes so Glenn could switch back and forth between regiments and brigades for his units. |

Agree with deadhead Mitchell's British Brigade IIRC appears to be missing…. MG |

That looks great! I'll take two more just like it! :-) Where does the new owner live? I should watch for Napoleonics games in his area. - Ix PS: Hoping to see this at Enfilade in May… |

He's in Chicago, so no, probably not at Enfilade. He will have it at Little Wars at the end of April! |

Stunning. I'm actually inspired to re-start the painting I abandoned 3 months ago. Not that I can even dream of approaching that level of virtuosity, but I ought at least to try. So do the infamous Cumberland Hussars feature somewhere in that vast array? |

We are all giving you a hard time………OK not the "entire" but that would have taken some doing! Yours is the entire Allied army after the DoC's Hussars fled the field. As for a Scot leaving out the HLI…….absolvo te Fantastic work. |
