When you start a thread how often do you check back on it?

A, Everytime I see a new post count
B. A couple of times a day
C. Once a day
D. Never. I just throw bombs and run away.
E. Polls? We don't need no stinking polls.

A, B or C, depending on how urgently I need help or how hot the topic might be.

There have been a few times when I've started a thread because I've accidentally found an item that wasn't exactly my thing but which might be of interest to other people. In those instances I might not check the thread as often.

Yeah … A,B & C … I wouldn't want to be "rude" not answering a post directed at me or I may know an answer, etc. It's only good manners ! evil grin

C. I can't live here.

Don't you get email notifications of new replies?

I don't get email notifications, is that an option?

If I start a thread, I will check it often for a couple of days because I like to respond to any of the comments. Also if my thread was along the lines of "How do I do X," or "what color to paint Y" then I'll come back when X and Y are done and report how it went.

Other than that, I tend to let the threads fade away. But since I consistently haunt the same boards if there is a new reply that bumps the thread to the top then I'm likely to see it and reply again.

B and c but some days I hover more. Conversation in slow motion is a sad thing.

14Bore16 Feb 2018 4:53 p.m. PST

B generally, also on threads I post at

I guess I have started some threads. Maybe I should see how they're doing.

Old Contemptibles17 Feb 2018 1:01 a.m. PST

F – as often as feels necessary.

Giles the Zog17 Feb 2018 12:24 p.m. PST

C of F depending.

If I ask a question C.
If I post something of interest F.

Just checked today, and there was a response to one of my postings. so might be dumping that into the C category soon.

I always check my threads before I go out.

Unfortunately I find I often forget about them, sometimes even when I've asked a question. Then I remember a day or so, or maybe a week later, and have to go back to see if there was an answer. So apologies if I failed to say "Thanks" right away! :-)
