It's a shame that clear resin is a pain in the butt to work with (and keep without air bubbles). Hasslefree has a couple clear-resin models and they're about 2x the cost of their normal resin models, which are themselves about 3x the cost of metal models. And it's all due to having to throw away any casts that have air bubbles in them. Ironically, Studio McVey discovered that clear PVC works very well but takes a lot more initial setup cost (it's basically injection-molded plastic). |
