Welcome to the club! I've been using them--and others--with Charge! for Dummies for tactical games. They're cheap, sturdy and look good in mass, which is what I look for in 1/72 and smaller. Do be sure to paint with acrylics and put a clear flexible coating on them when you're done, though. Woodland Scenics Terrain Cement, Future Floor Polish, Minwax Satin Polyurethane and just plain white glue all seem to work.
