I watched on episode and thought it was good. Have not had a chance to catch up. TV is last on my list of things to do, so don't take my lack of seeing it as anything negative about the show.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the first two seasons. I'm hoping there are many more. :-)

Yes I very much enjoyed it. It is "Sharpe" in the Dark Ages (it is based on the books by Bernard Cornwall also). Some overlap of Characters with those of "Vikings" tv show. Hopefully a third Season will come soon.

I liked it very much, series 2 better than series 1.

I remember watching episode 1 and thinking what a pile of garbage. I didn't watch any more (& for what its worth I have an History degree, specialising in medieval history).

Love it. Plays fast and loose but somewhat accurate. Very funny. Good characters. Something 'historical' to watch with my wife.

I fully expect to see you start gluing kite shields on your minis upside down from here on out.

I've read all the books which I enjoy very much far more than Sharpe.

I started the TV show but gave up, a couple of episodes in, because the TV was leaving out so much from the books (no doubt a necessity of filming a telly show) and because of the fantasy costumes and war gear annoyed me.

Love the books though a great read.

The TV show is good, but the books that it is based from are so much better.

Put any historical knowledge out of your mind and just enjoy it as a piece of escapism. That's what I did and it worked.

"Very Funny. Good characters." This. What is the arseling getting up to in season three I wonder? I have heard that each season approximately equals two books.

Pretty much escapist fare, good for an afternoon of stoned viewing, and not much else. Horrible wooden acting, cliched scenario and medium budget. Just like the books!
