Could this ladder allow one to set up and play bigger games with 7, 8 or 9 foot wide tables? I am very tempted.

Either that or a system of body harness, ropes and pulleys hung from the rafters like the mission impossible or other movies. ;)

I don't think I've laughed this hard in months…"The Topside Creeper"? Bwahahahahahaha….

slip-resistant steps and thickly padded cushion provide the comfort and stability you need to safely complete your projects

I need this badly – too bad they're out of stock

18CTEXAN01 Feb 2018 2:27 p.m. PST

I'll need 4 of those….so that I can "safely" get to the center of the table!LOL

I like it! :-)

I hope it converts into a wheeled, hospital gurney for all of the gamers that do a nose-dive off the end.

historygamer01 Feb 2018 3:03 p.m. PST

Sure. What could go wrong?

It is much simpler to stop playing with dwarves and hobbits!

goragrad01 Feb 2018 4:10 p.m. PST

Intersting.

goragrad01 Feb 2018 4:38 p.m. PST

Has potential.

Not cheap.

PaulRPetri01 Feb 2018 6:01 p.m. PST

I wonder what it's weight rating is?

I dunno, might turn out to be an expensive investment based on good intentions – you know, like exercise equipment! :)))

whitejamest01 Feb 2018 7:53 p.m. PST

If I get to play with one of those I'm going to have to insist that one of the other players wheels me around the length of the table while I make childish sounds of glee.

StarCruiser01 Feb 2018 8:08 p.m. PST

400 lbs weight rating (~182 kilos).

Model Railroaders have been using stuff like that for some time since some layouts get…out of hand, size wise.

evilgong01 Feb 2018 8:09 p.m. PST

I wonder how many units they sell per year?

Trajanus02 Feb 2018 2:25 a.m. PST

What a gift for WW2 gamers!

You could do strafing runs holding little P47s over the table and make machine gun noises while someone pushed you along!

Magic!

deephorse02 Feb 2018 3:08 a.m. PST

Could it support the weight of a wargamer? Capacity is only 400lb after all.

Walking Sailor02 Feb 2018 12:06 p.m. PST

In stock, for $55 USD less link ,
and how it is used.

You would probably need at least 2 most likely 4: 1 or 2 on each side.

On a serious note, watched an interview with the former owner of Geek Chic, filmed before he went bankrupt. He took a commission for a custom sand table, which included a C-ladder, which would allow the owner to lay over the top of his 8-9 foot wide table, to reach the center… It was said to be on wheels, so it could allow access the length of the 20(?) foot long table. No joke. Such crazy things have been done already. Cheers!

About 25 years ago, I gamed in the Atlanta area where the club had what I can only estimate was a 20 foot by 20 foot table. Sneaker off, walk on it, built with lots of supporting beams, apparently. It was rock solid. Still kinda like a floor, though impressive construction.
