They've assembled a few on their Facebook site, and they do look quite nice. They are slender, as elves (and more of us) should be. I didn't like one of the heads, but it looks like there will be plenty of opportunity not to use that particular head. I think one rationale for the taller helmets of the armies of Alexander's successors was that many of their foes used slashing weapons, like swords and axes, instead of just the piercing weapons (like spears) of Greek hoplites, and the taller helmets provided more protection from that sort of attack. I'm not very familiar with the conventions of fantasy warriors: would this apply to elves as well? I do tend to think of goblins and orcs as wielding scimitars and similar weapons. Grelber |

Tall/Pointed helmets are just an effective design. The point at the top catches enemy weapons and causes them to slide away and also makes the soldier appear taller. Many helmets throughout history come to some sort of point at the top, Assyrian helmets, Turkish helmets, Norman helmets (and other early medieval designs) all the way to the Bascinet and some Barbutes. I would suspect that these elves are meant to have a more Norman aspect than Macedonian. |

The Oathmark goblins do have curved blades. But they have axes and maces also. |

I liked them so much I joined the FB group. Excellent "feel" to this range – I hope they continue in this vein and don't go all "fantasy" on the range – stupid Mohawk haircuts, huge jaws, waaaarrrggghhh etc etc. These look really good for "high" fantasy/make believe "historical". Nice link Armand |

Lots of parts, but I cannot spot any scabbards for the swords (which seem to be in plentiful supply). Also, the bodies do seem to be a bit limited in variety – there seems to be effectively three different poses (plus two variants of those poses with different belt pouches). |

Ring scabbards for estocs? Agree that the high fantasy look is best. Mohawk haircuts look silly even on Viking historicals. Tolkien would approve I think. |
