I remember using converted imperial-guard plastics for a GM controlled star-trek landing team in a 1st edition 40K game back in the 90s (mostly red shirts, but a few officers with 'invunerable saves'… a very fun scenario/element… As I recall the phasers began on 'stun' and worked up to 'kill' as the team took casualties: stun was worthless vs spacemarines(tm), but 'kill' was something like 'strength 10, save-6, damage 1d12'… Of course they were all wiped out by the space marines, orks, and eldar long before they could beam out with any objectives. Fun game. |
