All, I've been thinking aobut getting back into 28mm WWII. But, I don't particularly want to build model kits of vehicles, nor do I want to spend $20 USD – $30.00 USD per vehicle. What is out there that is cheap? Since I play moslty solo, I am honestly not all that concerned with accuracy, cheap toys would be more than fine as long as the size is right. |

If you're looking for the absolute cheapest, a few years back, Revell re-release three 1:48 scale snap-tight kits; M4A3 Sherman w/HVSS and a Panzer IV…the third was a Patton tank. These were painting in some crazy exotic colors for something else. They can easily be repainted over with basic green and grey and look ok for what you want to do. Through Amazon and/or eBay, they go from $6 USD – $15. USD Parts are super minimal. I bought many and did a whole lot of simple conversions which I think came out very nice! Good luck. P. |

Here is the Revell panzer, clearly you would need to paint it, but it's cheap. link |

The Revell Panzer IV is way out of proportion (too squat). Get this pre-assembled toy with more detail instead. It has wheels underneath but they can be removed. Can't beat the price: link

28mm Fanatik is spot-on. My wife has 10 of them and they are just great for the money; you can get them from the Hartenstein museum in Arnhem. |

A little work on the pull toy and they look just fine. I added side skirts and a better Muzzle brake. |

So, I've been thinking about getting into this scale, but I can't find any kits under $20. USD |

Hobbytown carries the die-cast Pz. IV. They are quite nice. |
