There is a book (I got the Ebook) out called 1903. An interesting book about a sneak invasion of the US by Germany.

The only problem with a war in 1903 is that the majority of the German battleships are weaker coastal battleships. It wasn't till about 1908 that the German navy got the numbers of first class pre dreadnoughts to surpass the US fleet.
