That is bonkers but cool!

Is the bloke saying to the driver "thanks for the demo, but we're gonna wait until they invent the jeep…"

Sadly that body style for the Model T ford is hard to come by in scale.

Assuming you want something for 28mm figures, this 1/64 scale item might be your best start:

You would need to carve down the top, and remove fenders and running boards.

So what does that steering wheel do, exactly….? Brake or clutch one side, maybe?

Some of the military men don't look very impressed.

Reverisco tin-soldier.com makes the Model T in 1/64 scale, and i several different varieties. Take a look here:

Look in the background – that looks to be an 'International' aka Mk. VIII tank.

The fellow is probably being given the judges results for the Army contract.

DyeHard, EBay has a bunch of those "Lizzie" die casts listed at 1:55 (I have the jeep, and it's a good fit with 28mm figures). Thanks for the tip!

Also, that looks a lot like the William Howard Taft Bridge over Rock Creek Park in DC in the background of that shot.

Excellent photo, Jeff !!

Do you think it really is supposed to steer by aiming the front tires left and right? The 'tracks' seem to be hugging the tires on the sides. That sounds, at first glance, like a dumb design.

Tin Soldier's cars are excellent.
