That is a good video. Lots of peripheral detail, not just endless gun camera footage, but carrier deck operations, etc. I'm going to watch that later on the big screen.

It was interesting to see the F-89 down the B-17 drone. I had a high school teacher who flew F-89s for NOAD. He said that they called it the flying vacuum cleaner because the low-slung intakes would vacuum up anything on the runway during takeoffs.

He also flew F-80s in Korea and was part of the squadron that developed Wild Weasel tactics flying F-100s in Vietnam. He had a lot of good stories and it was easy to get him started taking about them :).
