Me too, have they forgotten about those of us who use Imperial Assault figures? I only wish they had given us as many variant positions for those figures! |

By making the SW Legion figures noticeably larger and incompatible with the Imperial Assault figures, FFG is forcing us to buy the new figures if we want to play the new game or accept using different-sized figures. And we'll probably fall for it too because we can't resist. These figures are just bigger, better and have more varied poses than the board game's. Resistance is futile. |

The larger scale is just stupid. Is FFG going to release a whole range of compatible terrain, too? Somehow I doubt it. |

I haven't been paying any attention to this. What scale are these new ones? What scale are the old ones? |

35mm+ with some 'heroic' scale proportions I think. The Vehicles use a sliding scale like with the larger ships and some of the fighters in the X-Wing game FF also makes. Which means they are incompatible with the Imperial Assault line (around 28-32mm scale) that FF makes. It also is going to make conversions significantly more difficult-Knight models is the only manufacturer that immediately springs to mind that works in 35mm. It's not great-seems rather anti-consumer to me to be frank. |

To boycott or not to boycott over the scale. Its clearly a money grab/costumer be damned move. But what remedy? My son tried to use an army based on old pre-paints for Imperial Assualt and encountered resistance from tourney GM. But will they at least allow armies built on IA to play? Maybe rules will be bad so we can ignore game. But if good do we succumb little good little GW zombies or resist? TomT |
