I've put some of my Fallout-themed 'Junk Town' settlement figures and scenery on here before. I am now working on a Guard force for the town The idea is that the guards are the very heavily armed rock on which most of Junk Town's would-be attackers break.

I wanted a couple of vehicles to be part of the Guard Force, just to get around the perimeter junk wall but also to burn, batter and drag away anything that tried to get over the walls. And so I've made Thing 1 and Thing 2, the Guard Force's Quick Reaction Force vehicles. The idea is that they are up-armoured construction vehicles of some kind, so they have a lot of pushing power. I guess it goes without saying they will be battered, burnt and rusty, as befits a vehicle that fights deathclaws, raiders and self-destructing bots.

Vehicles are Ramshackle Rheboks, with an Old Crow turret plus the usual little additions.

Fantastic! Love all the little extras like the chains.

Red Brown chain too big maybe? If construction vehicles, the paint job cries out for yellow and black stripes somewhere. …suitably weathered of course! Love the build work.

Thanks Capt BF,

Yeah, been thinking about the colour scheme. I have used yellow and black as the standard for many of my vehicles, but as you say, it's the obvious choice. Clearly the turrets would then need to be different colours, as befits a retro fit. Just need to make sure it also makes a nice looking model – choices, choices.

And yes, possibly right with the chain, but I wanted a kind of ludicrous, ship's anchor type chain for the really big pulls. I'll see how it looks when complete. Can always change it.

They really do look a lot like the "crawler" vehicles in the film Soldier (1998).

Next stage of the paint job done with basic 'rust work' complete. Capt BF, I did go for Yellow and Black in the end, with retro-fitted turrets in a different colour and added steel plates for driver protection. I think it'll work. Plenty still to do but it's coming along.

Thing 1 and 2 finally finished after months of doing nothing but work. Hope you enjoy.

Done some of the Junktown Guard Force that go with Thing 1 and 2. Armed and armoured to the teeth the Heavy Mob can handle most things likely to try and break into JunkTown.
