Wondering what folks could suggest as a good book on history of the Irish Guards regiment?

Especially their involvement in the two world wars.

Any help appreciated.

I have at least 2 in my library, neither of which I've read (yet), but they both get top marks on Amazon (for what's that worth):-
Peter Verney "The Micks: The Story of the Irish Guards"
Rudyard Kipling "The Irish Guards in the Great War"

I hear that Kipling guy is a pretty good writer.

…who never really recovered from the loss of his son who was serving with the Irish Guards…

I think the Kipling one is two volumes.

Q. "Do you like Kipling?"
A. "I don't know, I've never kippled."
