I'm building a paddle gunboat for the colonial New Zealand Wars of the 1860s, and am looking for suitable 25-28mm crew to man her. I'm not so much after sailors manning guns or fighting, but prefer them just doing their normal day-to-day shipboard duties. Maybe a sailor at the wheel, an officer on the bridge, and a seaman or two walking about on the deck, etc. Anyone know of a manufacturer who produces Victorian-era sailors and officers at work? More about this project on my blog here: link

Try Old Glory Boxer great powers naval gun crews. Also take a look at Copplestone for the officers. I can't quite remember the name of the line, but there are about five officers including an officer in a long coat. |

BTW – for my plastic gunboats, I glue magnets to the underside of the deck and steel washers to the base of the figures. It keep the figures in place. |

Thanks for all the suggestions – there are more figures of sailors at work out there than I thought! @Rdfraf: I only want a few (one officer and about 5 men). And I live in New Zealand. So it may not be worth your time and effort to sell them to me. But if you are still interested, could you possibly drop me a line at roly_hermans@hotmail.com |
