I'm working on a Little Bighorn diorama and need to come up with a way of basing sets of 4 held horses. I'm using 15-18mm pewter horses and would like a source for thin metal bases, about 1 inch by 2 inches and having some texture and not be shiny. Any suggestions for a source for this type of base or suggestions for making some. I'll need about 30 of these bases.

That war is the U.S. Civil War. In many ways it was the first truly modern war that depended on heavy industry, rapid transportation, and telecommunications for its conduct. I've often purchased metal bases from 'Wargame Accessories' link and found them very reliable for postal orders. The metal bases are thin (but sturdy) and when I quickly checked they have the size (1" by 2") you desire: packets of 24 for US$6 plus postage but not that the minimum order is $15. USD

Quaama, Thank you. I actually found some of these on ebay (since I didn't need $15 USD worth of them) and have them on order. Again, thanks.
