Since I have way more armies (25mm) then I will ever need, thinking of getting into single figure for display again.

What are some popular large scales – say twice the size of 25mm – and where does one get them?

Thanks

54mm, 1/35 diorama scale plastics. I made a bunch of stuff from old Dragon kits for Cold War skirmish wargaming over the last few years.

You can mix and match gear, completely customise your guys to a high level.

54 mm are 1/32 nd scale, not 1/35 th.

1/35 th are slightly smaller and are a hard plastics modellers scale. Airfix multi part figures are an example but there are dozens of companies making hard plastic figures.

54 mm is more of a soft plastic toy soldier scale.

There are quite a few companies producing 54mm/1-32 and up (other popular figures come in at 75mm and 90 mm)..have a look at "Military Modelling" magazine/site and you can see them…there are also some very nice large scale busts around

I've always liked Poste-Militaire as well:

The Chicago Toy Soldier show is one of the biggest and you can see the work of the entrants as well as links to the exhibitors:

Also, I think the biggest in Europe is Euromilitaire, well worth a look:
