The Viking skirmish game? Apparently it allows for fantasy elements as well. Sounds like it might be a good addition to our roster of regular games but I'd like more info. Thanks. |

I heartily recommend it. I've run con games with Vikings vs Irish & Vikings vs Skraelings (with my own profiles for the Amerinds) which the players & I all enjoyed. It does have optional fantasy rules, some of which can be taken as morale effects due to superstition and certain superior quality weapon's effectiveness or as actual magic. Historical warbands include varieties of Norse & Franks, Gaels, Picts, Saxons & Welsh. Legendary warbands include Undead, Norse Giants & Elves. "Legendary Heroes" profiles include Beowulf & Cu Chulainn. You can design your own warriors & warbands also. It's my "go to" rules set for this genre. |
