'Night of the Comet' is one of my cult faves. The 80's had some weird apoc movies arising from our anxieties about nuclear armageddon. 'Miracle Mile' is another one. More contemporary movies omitted in the article that I like include 'The Book of Eli,' '28 Days Later' and 'World War Z.' While the latter doesn't measure up to Max Brook's book it is still a pretty good flick. |

Too much half-baked political commentary shoved into the reviews. Stopped reading. But maybe I will try to find The Last Man on Earth and Deluge. I'd never heard of the latter. |

Perhaps my all-time favorite is _A Boy and his Dog_, based on the Harlan Ellison novella. |

For me it's "Book of Eli" as first place, followed by the four Mad Max movies (Road Warrior is the best of the four in my book). I also like I am Legend, but have a tough time watching animals being killed or Will Smith having to kill his puppy – too much of an animal lover! Terry |

Road warrior of course is my favorite…but I just watched the soviet era movie called Stalker. Very good. Gotta love omega man too. |

Another vote for "A Boy and His Dog". I'm also of the opinion that "The Last Man on Earth" is the best version of I Am Legend. |

Absolutely, positively A Boy and His Dog. The ending was so incredibly perfect it was a total shock. |

Planet of the Apes (1968) The Time Machine (1960) The Terminator (1984)* Dan * Because I had always found the premise of The Outer Limits episode The Man Who Was Never Born (1963) absolutely fascinating: link |
