I have a handful of spare Saxons in my 6mm stash, and thought about maybe using them in the artillery command role. Now I know the Royal Artillery had them in both Air Defence Starstreak Batteries and AS90 Batteries, but does anyone know exactly they were employed ?
Were they employed as CP's with the guns for example, in place of FV432 or in the FO role ?

Thanks
NIall

Not in the FOO role, and may have been UK based AS90 Regts. Certainly 3RHA in 2003 still had 432. 32 (UAV) Regt BCP was still 432 in 2011.

Command post variant…..basically a radio operation/relay station, very cramped at the best of times.
