May 1097AD- the earliest crusaders were so easily defeated that when this second wave showed up at Nicaea how could it be much of a threat? However, these crusaders were led by some of the most powerful warlords of Europe; leading powerful armies of mounted knights. Now under siege, Nicaea sends an urgent plea for help and Kilij Arslan answers with a massive mounted force of his own. 1231BC- Present at the battle were the Libyans, neighboring Meshwesh, and peoples from the eastern Mediterranean. The first lines of the Karnak inscription include some sea peoples at the battle. The Egyptian Pharoah Merneptah received news that the wretched, fallen chief of Libya, Meryey, had fallen upon the country with his bowmen. Taking the best of every warrior in his country, Meryey had reached the western boundary in the fields of Perire, a city on the western part of the delta.

27 July 1214AD- The Royal French Army of Philip Augustus faced a coalition of his Breton, Flemish, English, and German foes, led by Otto IV, Holy Roman Emperor. The French victory led to the final dissolution of the Angevins, and shook King John of England's power sufficiently that he had to sign the Magna Carta. And Otto IV was overthrown within 18 months. Philip Augustus used his victory to create the strong centralized French monarchy that would survive until the French Revolution.

Massed levies huddle; linen-armored warriors swing bronze sickleswords as chariot-riding nobles in gilded armor hurtle across the battlefield, their composite bows sending arrows that slay like darts from Apep himself. Be Muwatalli fighting Ramses, or Suppiluliuma conquering the Mitanni. It is the era of Chariot Supremacy!

15mm
4+ rounds
24 total players
Massed levies huddle; linen-armored warriors swing bronze sickle-swords as chariot-riding nobles in gilded armor hurtle across the battlefield, their composite bows sending arrows that slay like darts from Apep himself. Be Thutmosis IV, greatest warrior-pharoah of Egypt, or Ramses the Great, who got his butt kicked at Qadesh and rewrote history to make it a great victory. Be Muwatalli fighting Ramses, or Suppiluliuma conquering the Mitanni. It is the era of Chariot Supremacy. Mighty God-Kings send their chariot arrays sweeping across the plain, striking terror into the foe. Surely warfare will never be more advanced! Plus, things are turning to crap. Loaner armies available for players with PEL tickets, those PEL slots are intended for newbies. Otherwise, please pre-register online on the TRIUMPH forum where specific army lists for the campaign are listed:

New players are strongly encouraged to attend our Epic Conflicts walk-up teaching events running in the morning both Friday and Saturday. The rules are quick to learn, but you'll enjoy the campaign better if you get a few quick practice games in beforehand! Anyone under 15 must be accompanied by an adult; the campaigns usually run until 10pm or later, so keep that in mind when signing up. GM: David Kuijt and David Schlanger
